Beth,

I was thinking it would be nice to take it to NTA this year, but I don't think my old truck would be up for that long of a trip. I have been trying to talk my budddy into going... with his new truck. I will have to try to twist his arm a little harder.

Green? Lets see JD - KG they sound pretty close.

Steve

Well, um, I'll manipulate him the best I can, if you wish I was successful in convincing George to bring the big 25 Port Huron Highwheeler all of the way from Canada.....

I'd be glad to send him a Steam O Gram to show him what we have going on (and anyone else who would like one, I have several left...and it does contain a picture of my PH on the sawmill). Shoot me a PM if I can be of assistance.

Thanks
Beth

Thumbs up Re: Keck-Gonnerman gas tractor

Guess I lost track of this thread after my comment on your steering duck.

Tractor turned out nice.

My Great Uncle used to have one of those, but I don't remember what color it was. Most of the older show pictures are in black & white too, so I can't go back and look at them for an answer.

Looks Good in Red though.

Thanks Beth, I know he would like to go but he has pretty busy schedule, so I will have to see when it gets closer to show time.

Otto, I never did figure out the ducks on the steering parts.
I do know it was definately red. Here are a couple pictures of some original paint under the dirt and grease after I steam cleaned it.

Steve:

I'm Thinking my Great Uncles was faded out Red..... but it was so many years ago and so many other tractors viewed since then that I don't remember for sure. I know it wasn't as bright and shiny as yours though. Not even as red anymore as your 'before' pictures of the original paint. But the more I think of it, the more I remember it being red, though I'm thinking it maybe had silver lettering on the hood & radiator.... but that was with an older repaint and hand lettered with no new decals or anything back in the early 1970s

Hello Steve,
You have any idea where I can locate some engine parts for one of these?

I believe that KG tractor has a Waukesha Engine similar to what was used in Oliver tractors such as the 18-27 and model 80's.
