The "E" prefix 10hp is listed Sta. T. C. (stationary tank cooled). The 2hp" K" prefix is listed Sta. T. C. Gaso (Stationary tank cooled gasoline). THE 6HP "J" prefix is listed Port. T. C. gaso. (Portable tank cooled gasoline). Note screen cooled is listed as tank cooled.

Here's the list of the prefix letters, but it doesn't say much about the suffix letters.

Craig great looking engine!!
In first post you were looking for suggestions about gas tank. I know you already have done something but thought maybe others might want to see. Bought this engine last year and the gentleman had made this tank set up. Thought he did a great job especially the gas cap.

Thanks Mike! Here is a photo of the completed setup. I realize that it is not intended to be a portable, but mounting it on a cart makes it a bit easier to take to shows. I made the cart to look close to an early IHC cart using the casting from Cattail Foundry. John Wanat made the cooling tank for me.

Very nice engine Craig. Hey I thought I’d share my 3 hp. It was purchased new on a skid also suffixed E so there may be something to the thought that those were non portable from factory
