Default Petter AVA1 Bryce Injection Pump

Hello,

I had t take my injector pump appart yesterday because of a stuck fuel rack.
there wa an extra spring type ring inside the pump that is not mensioned on te parts diagram. Does this need to be there? You can see it on the pictures. Its the same ring like the one holding everything in the pump body but a litle less thick.

I took mine apart for the same reason the other day but mine only had one snap ring holding it all in. Maybe yours has a wider groove and takes both of them just a guess tho.

Hey,

I have found it in a manual from a younger engine.
I think the pump might have been replaced.
The spring holds the spring plate in place.

The thinner snap ring is inserted below the upper spring plate. Its purpose is to assist in assembling the pump as it prevents the control sleeve from sliding down and getting out of mesh with the rack. It is not an essential part of the pump.
