Default Easy Wico Question

Fellows, I picked up a nice Wico EK at Coolspring and some spare parts for it from Lee Pederson. I want to replace the condenser, and I'd like to know just how far can the thing be safely disassembled to get the old one out and the new one into the space behind the cross bar? Thanks in advance and Thanks to Harry Jim Young

I think as long as you dont take the magnets apart your ok. I put a new condenser in mine a few months ago and all you have to do is take the covers off to get to it, then just solder the new one in.

The EK manual says the capacitor should be 10-12 microfarads. To remove it, take off the covers and remove the crossbar. The capacitor leads can then be unsoldered and the cap removed.
