Hello from Indiana’s “Hub City”, Crown Point! Here are some pics from the 24th Annual Lake County Agricultural Historical Society Show thus far. A little rain overnight and into this morning (Saturday), but not enough to dampen the spirits, nor soak the firewood much.

First up, Mark has been sawing on the SINKER-DAVIS mill (as has yours truly, actually). That said, Mark’s pics of the show might be limited in number, but I know that he shot some good ‘uns anyways.

Second, Tom Runty and his “Pergola Port” …. "a stunning new factory option in operator protection that will be available to all this coming spring".

Third, casesteam12 and “JR” celebrate after Brad’s ½ scale 65 just pulled 24-HP on the dyno. In the background, next to belt up, is 19-65Port’s 1902 9-HP CASE which clocked at 44-HP as I recall, with KR at the helm.

And last, a photo perhaps better placed on “Old Lugs & Cleats”, but in any case the line up of fine old petrol iron …. from left to right … CLETRAC, CATEPILLAR “Sixty”, AVERY 40-80, CASE 40-72, CASE 30-60 (soon to leave our neck of the woods for the Tarheel State), IMPERIAL 40-70, MINNEAPOLIS 22-44, and CASE 20-40.

Cheers! -

Ron

Just one more for now ….

Justin, his daughter, and George in the cab of the CASE 30-60 as it is about to be unbelted from the SINKER-DAVIS mill.

More later ….

Cheers! -

Just want to say hello Ron I rush back to Lagrange, Indiana meeting Northeast indiana Steam and Gas. I made it there because it was one hour difference time zone

Hello All -

Here are four more. There were Stakkers from afar who showed up on Sunday at the show from the Land of Lincoln and the Hawkeye State. Thanks for coming Jared and Joe …. it was a pleasure chatting with both of you fellas.

First is Tom Runty’s 19-65 PORT belted up to the CASE thresher.

Second, a “Kester CASE Kodak Moment”. Bob and George’s 1921 65-HP sits in the background, while their family’s ¼ scale 65 is in front.

Third, the Kester 65 CASE belted to the SINKER-DAVIS sawmill.

Last, there were apple, cherry, blueberry, and rhubarb, but also there were pineapple, gooseberry, oatmeal raisin, and my favorite, pinto bean & coconut .... you can buy 'em by the slice or whole. The ladies of the club always do an outstanding job with their home-made pies each year.

“Come for the steam, stay for the pie!”

Cheers! -

Ron
