Default Splitdorf CD magneto

I have a base mount Splitdorf CD mag on an inboard marine engine. The mag is a RH mag but the engine is LH rotation, its the mag that came with the engine and its obviously not the original mag but it looks like its brand new and the spark is great. It sparks in both directions but the impulse coupling only trips in the RH direction. My question is, if I pull the coupling is there a way to reverse the impulse direction? I started taking it apart last night and got to the point where I need to build a small puller to get the coupling off, from the looks of what I can see so far I don't think I'll be able to change direction. Any thoughts?? Thanks, Jess

No not that easy to switch rotation you would need a opposite impulse lug and a different dist rotor assy.
