Got it running but something is not right with how the air mixer is held to the body of the mixer ,, need help here with pictures.

OK, this is what I did , made an aluminum plate for the bottom drilled and tapped two screws to hold the plate, which now holds up the air adjuster, and helps guide the valve, new spring, it runs , but I would like to know what is proper and its a tad rich and likes to run with the air adjuster pretty much closed.
