There is a good chance the crankshaft was bent while the flywheels were on the engine. The engine may have been picked up by the flywheels incorrectly or something hit the flywheel. I felt if the crankshaft can get bent with the engine together I can bend it back the same way. I have use the procedure in the GEM July 2001 issue with good results.
