Default Fuller & Johnson Mag

I picked up a Fuller & Johnson pump engine the orther day. It is set up for with a mag bracket, no batt. box.Does it use a Sumpter mag or did they come with something different.I don't remember seeing many of these engines around at shows. Also where would you find the serial number. Thanks alot Bob

Bob if it has a bracket bolted to the battery box shelf with 2 bolts that is for the Wico EK. If the shelf is just drilled for 4 bolts, has part of the crankcase milled away and has the special front cover w/ provisions for an idler gear then it uses either a Dixie M1 or Bosh DA2 mag.

Serial number is either on a brass tag above the outboard main bearing or stamped on flywheel on a flat area around the center cap.

Looks very similar to mine. I have a Dixie M1.

Thanks Pat, I'll have to try to find a good one. The only difference I can see is my spark plug is on top in the head.
