Default Ford Tractor Company (of Minneapolis ) video

I stumbled across this by accident. About 5 minuets in is video of a Ford motor company tractor in the field I thought was unique. These were the guys that tried to get something for nothing by using the Ford name.

Enjoy!

Hi all,

That Ford Tractor had no connection with Henry Ford and was the cause of the Nebraska Test. When I get home to a real computer with a full size keyboad I will find the story and post a link. In the meantime, search for Nebraska Test and/or the Lester Larson Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Later,
Jerry Christiansen

True

The fact is not a Ford. The company made trademark "The Ford" manufactured in Minnesota. At that time Ford Motor Company tried lawsuit using that name. It doesn't make sense. But then later the Detroit Ford company changed to Fordson.
Same way " The Plymouth". Plymouth lawsuit then name changed to Silver King.

For years there are lot of steam and tractor companies begins with "The (name of manufacture or trade name)

Look in all makes of trade catalogs that begins with "The"

Just a thought a history

There is a Ford tractor here in Parsons Kansas that was originally from a farm in western Kansas. I looked at it about a month ago and it is a nice piece. There can't be many of these around.

Is it restored? That's only 1.5 hours away from me.
