Lynden was mentioned in a Murdoch Mysteries show. It was the show when they found a long buried body, missing federal gold, and American Civil War intrigues. They got it right and located Lynden precisely on the Grand Trunk Railway, now CN, west of Hamilton.
The cemetery scene at the end was not at Lynden. It may have been at St. George where they often film the show. Many of the Murdochs are filmed at Westfield Pioneer Village which is 5-6 miles north.
There was a movie filmed here several years back. They painted up the Lions Club Den for the film. It was supposed to star Robin Williams. They used the whole village and tied things up around here for quite a while. I have never seen the film.
The Canada Day celebrations are well received because there are not many communities doing parades any more. For a little village of 600 people, it is a very large parade.
Thanks for posting the notice John. My role is usually to help drive the George White steam engine through the parade and to pick up the garbage in the park before and after Canada Day!

That is because like your Eagle tractor once you shut it down and stop it is hard to get it going again

I think I had the Eagle at the Canada Day once or more. There were still some men around who remembered it threshing in the area. Those fellows are all gone now.
