Here are some neat photos I found tonight. Its a 30-60 Fairbanks Morse. Thought it had a very neat lighting system.

As I recall, the large Fairbanks that Randy let me try driving at the Reynolds this fall had a unique lighting system like that. I will have to find the photos I took and post them. Surprisingly, that big tractor handles really well. I was shocked!

Only this ONE I guess Andrew.......
I got this from Jim Erdle a few years ago.
I think the attached scan is sharp enough to get the whole picture but there is a sprocket which either replaces or fits over the magneto drive hub. Then a silent chain drives the lighting generator.
I had a later model KW lighting generator mounted on a Hart Part 28-50 I used to have.......it lit a BIG Bosch light and did a good job too........

Hey Craig Anderson,
I wondered how many makes of generator lighting? It makes me think it might have had KW on my Greyhound ( Allis Chalmers 20-35 motor)? I have no archival photo on left view of tractor. I noticed there is a large U bolt attached with angle iron on a water pump housing with a half v groove pulley. On a dash I have a generator lighting, kill switch knob with 3 inch overall sheet metal.
Do you have a photo of late model KW? Just curious.
Two photos below....
First photo is from original catalog. Has two lighting on angle iron cab.
2nd photo unrestored Greyhound belongs to Mike H. of Michigan. Note angle iron on water pump housing. Two holes for U bolt. I have seen another tractor with U bolt.

I wonder if the exhaust whistle was stock on the tractors?
