Default My WMB quit me?

My wmb up and quit me, pulled plug and ground to block and it shows good spark. It won't even hit on ether, any ideas?

http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?...er_profilepage

This was before the mystery failure, just won't hit overnight.

Maybe a broken flywheel key? That would make it fire at the wrong time.

This may sound strange, but have you tried replacing the spark plug?

Does it have compression? (stuck valve?) I have had even brand new spark plugs be bad. Try swapping in a plug you already have from another working motor. Broken flywheel key idea is a good bet, too. Be sure and post the fix when you figure it out. Bruce

Sheared key would cause loss of spark, not wrong timing. Look somewhere else. If it feels like it has compression, its a fuel related issue.

You can definitely shear a key and still have spark. Been down that road before. When they're like that, they'll rip the starter rope right out of your hand, and boy does that sting sometimes!

Not on a points system, point opening controls ignition time, not the magnets position as with the later systems. If you shear a key on a points mag all it will do is either weaken spark or kill it all together.

makoman1860 IS RIGHT. Sheared key will kill the spark. Points and magnets are out of time. It is ONLY the later MAGNETRON and other electronic triggered magneto that will have fire but the fire will be out of time with the piston.

Thanks for the responses, it has good compression. Can anyone tell me the correct spark plug to use, I beleive it had a champion CJ 6 Y in it when I got it. I put a cj8 in it and it worked with that for awhile, until the day it just would not fire.

So please if anyone knows the correct spark-plug, please clue me in!

I have been using the NGK B2-LM and this ia also the plug that you can remove the piece on the top of the plug to attach loop type plug wire and they have worked just fine for me.

Have you checked the fuel system. Check ball could be stuck and not allowing gas to get to motor. I usually have a 1 or 2 i have to free up in spring on my Iron-Horse or Brigg engines that i have.
