Default Power of the past at ottawa kansas 2012

We had our show this past labor day and it was a big sucess,,i went with longtime ottawa collector dan baalman from colby ks..the feature engine was ottawa..dan brought 4 of his engines,,wayne walker brought 2 of his, a early twin port union giant, and his rare 12hp kerosene carb ottawa..this engine is very rare and it runs so sweet.....i included some photo`s..of some of the engines..from the show,,roger craig from colo brought his very rare chase engine...

Hope you enjoy the pictures..on a sad note we surely missed the ottawa caretakers:: Helen and george meyers..as some of you know helen passed away recently and george is in bad shape..they did so much for keeping the history of ottawa`s alive and they did so much with collecting as much history about the co and their awesome collection!!!..we really miss them at the shows and george will be in our prayers dailey..txs alan

Always a good show, and fun bringing the Ottawa engines home. Man Saturday was a big crowd. Al and I have been doing engine shows since our kids were little ones and they now have little ones of their own. Best friend, love you man. The engines look pretty good on the net too.

Second picture posted is my 10 hp. Only four or five known. The last picture in the second post shows Wayne Walker's 12 hp. It is the only known survivor of that size. A couple of 16 hp engines are left partially complete.

Well brain dead, probably not, but maybe the beer tainted your memory. We always seem to have a good time.

Missed the Ottawa show last year, but will be back this year, cant believe its ony a week away. If you have never been to this show, make the effort to be there. JD feature this year will be hundreds of JD tractors. Great show. Al, Dan and Jack are packed and ready!

Well a week from today I will be in Ottawa, Kansas for the Power of the Past show. Gets better every year. Definately worth it, if you have never been there. Beautiful setting for a show, lots of big trees. I am going to leave the big Ottawa engines home and bring a bunch of the little ones. See you there.
