Default John Deere classic green vs ag green

What are your thoughts on painting a classic tractor the new John Deere colors? It would be so much easier to do touch ups with the new green. They just don't sell the old colors around NC without having them custom mixed.

I work at a JD store and my opinion is the new green looks better and is what I use on my JD gas engines.

Local jd dealers should have the classic green, in gal. Qts. And spray cans. A little pricey but worth it. Plus you have same color touch up if needed.

Dad got all his paint for the classic green from the JD dealer too. Worked a treat and looks great.

dont do touch-ups with ag green on classic green. it looks ugly. the ag green was made to fit the tractors of today. we have a slantdash jd "a" that was painted by the previous owner in ag green. it matches our new equipmentbut it just doenst look right. its too flashy on the two cylinders. if i were you, i wouldnt use ag green.

This video was filmed last year. The tractor was painted 19 years ago with classic Greene:
