I was lucky enough to hear it run. That was one RUSTY hunk of iron! The water jacket for cylinder #1 was rusted clear through and the exhaust manifold is falling apart. The flywheel has also partially rusted away.

The owner says that the bores are in pretty good shape along with the crankshaft journals.

There was another guy there who had a one-lung 2-cycle marine engine also rescued from the same lake. It took a LOT of work to get that one running, but run it did, and well!

Default Return From Zolfo Show

Last week I finally got back from Zolfo and my "time in the sun" in FL. Upon getting home, I tried to find Harry's snail in order to send him my subscription to SmokStak and get all the extra benifits that brings with it (as well as a THANKS for what he privides for us.) Failing to find Harry's snail I went to http://www.smokstak.com/faq_smok.htm#donation (at the very bottom of the page) and was very pleased to see how easy it was to use to subscribe. So I'm now all paid up and urge everyone else to do the same!
