Default American Bosch MJA 6C-307, Application?

I have a rebuilt American Bosch MJA 6C-307.....At one time I had a master Bosch listing for application by tag number, but it must of gotten lost in some move in the last 30years.

Does anybody know the application?

My Bosch dealer book does not have a crossover chart to application you have to look through find the mag number them cross that to a kit # then go back through and find that . it goes on forever I would say you have a good mag for parts to fix a common one up !

Mitch is correct. It is not impossible but quite difficult to figure out what a Bosch magneto was originally on. They sold the magneto and drives separately and combined them in a package. The magneto number stamped on the magneto does not include the drive information therefore you cannot tell what package it was. If you know the application I have some literature that tells you what magneto to combine with what drive for that application for some applications. Anyway it's not as simple as looking up the mag number to see what it fits.
