Default Ensign Brass Carburetor ID Help Required

I'm hoping someone can identify this early Ensign carburettor. The inlet size is 1-1/8", and I'm guessing it mounts left side of the engine. It is stamped with a letter 'G' and a serial number.

I thought it may have been automotive, but I can't find any reference to an Ensign like this being used. It was suggested to me that it maybe tractor? possibly stationary engine?

Check over in the tractor forum as I think IHC tractors used this carb, I'm not a tractor guy so I could be wrong.
