Default Abenaque Help Needed

Have been working on a friend's ignitor fired 7 hp Abenaque sideshaft portable. Set the exhaust valve to open about 40 degrees before outer dead center & to close a few degrees after inner dead center.
With a mechanically operated intake valve, at what point should it open & close?

Default Re: Abenaque Help Needed

This is not Abenaque specific, but I would set the intake to begin to open about 5 degrees before top center and fully closed at about 5-10 degrees after bottom center.
