Bill thats funny you ask about a video as I will tell all a short story on how Paul now can shoot vidoes. I took Paul to Walmart at the first Coolssprings show this year as he stated he would like a new camera and he wanted something different. Paul found what he liked as the camera had all the bells and whistles. The camera he liked on display was pink and he was not going for that color. So we call the gal over and she stated she did not have the pink camera just the gray one. Paul stated he would take it.

Well about half way to Coolsprings Paul opens the box with the gray camera on the front of the box and what pops out? That cute little pink camera. He was not happy. So I have been busting his chops ever sense.
PS it does shoot videos.

Camera is not "pink" , it's a "ROSE" colored Kodak , and I can live with that . Ran the Titan a bit today and got it good and hot. Had it running at 100 rpm for awhile while filling the mixer from time to time. Freed up and adjusted the 28" clutch pulley. The fuel tank is being redone, and the starting tank is missing. Found the necessary piping, old brass 1/8" unions in the brass box, and will be making a starting tank this week if I can find the right "tank". Hmm... just ran a small propane tank empty and have a discharged chemical fire extinguisher around here someplace one of which may be the right diameter . Got some planking for the screen cooler to sit on, and some original seat parts that I can use as a pattern in making mine. Progress is being made as the days get colder and shorter while having fun, even in NJ, on the way through.

Come on guys, you know how it is when you own something, the color is always a shade different. Either that or Paul is looking through "Rose Colored Glasses.".....

Kevin showed up this afternoon. Seems he needed some help with his "new" F & J - 3hp N with a Wizzard mag. Said the mag was "DEAD" . I dragged out the mag charger, put the mag on and presto, all charged. He put it on the F & J, I primed it with Coleman fuel, he spun the flywheels and away it went . After running and slowing down the F & J, I said lets run the Titan. It didn't take much encouragement and off we went. It's still on the trailer and we had it running at 75 +/- RPM .

Boy is that Titan "HEAVY" . Moved it off the trailer by myself onto the covered patio across plywood laid on the lawn, inch by inch . Didn't run it today , resting my "TIGHT" back. Working on the front steering and getting the screen cooler mounted on a "new" wood platform. Waterpump is mounted and the compression release lever is redone and in place. Welder not done with the broken front bolster yet, maybe Wed-Thur. No fuel or starting tank yet, soon. It's just a work in progress as I'm having fun in NJ .

Paul, Mike asked you a question or is that bag of goodies gone your buddy brought over. Now if you would have asked to move that heavy old engine I would have come over and saved you the back problems. Get that pink camera out and show us a movie.

Kevin, even if Paul didn't want help moving it, he should have at least called you over to take a video of him moving the engine by himself.

The wife asked if I needed help, went inside, and came out when I was done . She was the smart one . Video will come when I get the cooling system set up and checked for "leaks" . Don't want to run/adjust the throttler to much without cooling as it can get hot quickly. Need to put the fuel pump back on and jury rig the piping after getting a temporarly fuel tank while waiting for the new tank to show up.

I made sawdust today and finished up the screen cooler tank platform. Stained it and mounted it on the frame. Put the tank on it Looking good . Need to locate and hook up the mounting rods, saw out the drain plug hole, connect the piping then add water and see if I have any leaks . Maybe tomorrow. Then to work on the temporary tank (a B & S 8hp tank), hook up the fuel pump and see how that works. Have a Pinelands Engine Club meeting tonight and have my show & tell box "O" stuff ready to share with the others . Going to be another good night while having fun, even in NJ on the way through .

I don't want to hijack a thread and wanted to post a 'newbie' thread and spent way too much time trying to figure how to and now have given up. Sorry to change the subject but I have a newbie question that ,amazingly I haven't found on this site. Would somebody share either how to start a new thread or answer me this; what are the origins of the throttle governed engine? How early did they come about and who was responsible?

Sure is a lousey, cold (45-F), rainey, windy day in NJ , "BUT" here is a picture of the fuel pump mounted and some parts I picked up at the Home Depot I think I needed before the engine club meeting last night. A friend, asked me to help unload an old box of old tools he brought to sell for $10 at the meeting. The box never made it inside and I'm $10 shorter, "BUT" now I have something else to do "inside" . Check out that Sears centrifigual pump, and that old wrench, and that , I can hardly wait to sort through it.

Maybe a moderator can help out whitefarms with his problem ?

I Went to the flea market this morning and stopped at my sonís place on the way home. The next thing I knew we were hunting garage sales with kids, all loaded in his 1966 VW bus. I didnít get home till 1:45pm.. . Then I started hooking up the temporary fuel lines and found that the mixer overflow/return pipe into the mixer was AWOL. Thought about it and went into the "old" pipe box and came up with one that came out of a previous engine. A little trimming and pipe threading and it was done. The B & S 8hp temporary tank was hooked up and plastic lines run to the fuel pump and mixer. Put gas in the tank, and it started leaking out . What the... found the riveted/soldered outlet on the bottom was cracked 3/4 of the way around with another 1" crack in the bottom of the tank. all hidden by some old grease/dirt, darn. Back to the old mower repair shed and found me a good Bunton tank (checked it first). Hooked it all up, cycled the fuel pump (it works) with no leaks. I ran the Titan a bit, but I have to get the cooling tank fastened down and hooked up because the throttler gets warm quickly. I located and drilled the holes for the screen cooler mounting rodís, and drain plug hole. I fastened the screen cooler down and put in the drain pipe just as it got dark . Still, Iím having fun, even in NJ on the way through. More to do tomorrowÖ
