Default Opening of Warren Paulson's Ag Museum Rockford IL

I expect most of the local old iron folks have experience with Warren's collection, but this was my first time seeing it. Warren opened up a non profit ag museum to keep his collection together after the passing of his wife and yesterday was the grand opening of the Paulson Ag museum of Argyle (just outside Rockford IL). Lot of neat stuff to see, and a place a guy could go many times and see new things each time.

The highlights are a large collection of older Emerson & Brantingham implements, memorabilia and his E&B L; but he has a something of everything.

back in the other building, which also includes a nice model RR set, many toys and other memorabilia. the main building had a number of other tractors and implements packed in as well in the outer sections.

they went there, he gave a tour, but they never aired it on the show since he wasn't selling anything.

regarding the comment "a place a guy could go many times and see new things each time."

Paul: Truer words were never spoken. I ran across a couple new things today.
- Mike England - member, board of directors, PAMA - Paulson's Ag Museum of Argyle.

1st 2 pix - E-B / Osborne Cornbinder getting ready to go to an event in a week.
3rd picture - newly-donated artifact

What's the History on the Hearse ?

Rarely see them on sled runners outside of the occasional Old Photo and even They are Rare.

Warren Paulson obtained the hearse and kept a sign in the window - you might even be able to see it in the picture - that said "Warren's Last Ride" . . . After his death, his friends saw to it that a beautiful team of horses took him from the church to the cemetery - in a fire-engine red coffin.
Of course, we still have it. We are thinking of putting Warren's sign back in the window, along with a photo of the procession. The hearse is a beautiful piece of furniture.

Robert Block also took his "Last Ride" in his horse drawn hearse.

The Pallbearers rode in his Funeral Coach.
