Default New Construction at Alexander Show

Took some photoes on the club grounds today before the member meeting. Not all these projects will be finished by the start of the 46th Annual Rally which opens Sept 6th. The first two pictures are of shade structures for the public to sit in while waiting for a tram. One is at the top of the hill in the center of our 35 acre parking field, another is by our ticket booth at the bottom of the hill. Our trams turn around by circling the hill top structure. There will be handicap parking at the turn around and near the ticket booth. The third picture is of our fuel storage building for wood and coal for steamers. The white tanks are municipal water storage for the steamers. The building to the right with red roof is storage and display of oil field equipment. Another view of the fuel building under construction. Our saw mill is on the left of the 4th photo.

Here are some more pictures of the empty steam show grounds. The first picture shows our big engine building being expanded. This building houses our Nunda Engine. Second picture is another view of the Fuel storage building. Third picture shows two steamers that have arrived early. The fourth picture is another view of our municipal water tanks for the steamers. Three more tanks have to be moved on to this platform. The small tank says "Salt Brine" We use this to keep the dust down on our gravel roads. One application before the Rally works for a couple of weeks at least. We have a permit from the NYS DEC to spread this leagally. The brine is free.

More pictures of Alexander Steam Show Grounds before the crowd arrives. First picture, two early arivals. the one steamer is cooling down. To its right in the distance is the engine from the SS Canadiana, on its side. To the far right are the roof trusses for the fuel storage building. Third picture is a long distance shot of our pulling track and the bleachers on the south side of the track. The building at the track side is our Push and Pull Restaurant. The last picture is the same view , but a little to the right. The parts for another shade structure at this busy corner are visable at the right forground and our generator building is in the right backround.

More pictures. First two are of one of the shade structures at a busy cross road. Yes we have street signs. The next two are another view of our big engine building. Our 3 cylindar Fairbanks Morse, Nunda Engine, is in the existing building. Our one cylindar Fairbanks Morse is under the new roof. Room for several more additions is under the new roof.

here is a picture of our new $10,000 section of bleachers, assembly required. The new one is the shinny silver piece on the far right. Then two pictures taken Sat Aug 25th when we hosted an ESP tractor pull. Yes our neighbors put up with some noise and polution a few days every year. Misfire provided help on the gates that day.

Saturday we parked spectators where our engine rows and Flea Market are placed during our upcoming Rally Sept 6 - 9. Here is another view of the big engine building expansion with cars in the forground. We don't have to run trams during the ESP Pull because we are not using the rear parking field.

Farmal Bob, glad you are watching. Took these pictures myself with my own little camera. I thought someone would ask a question or two about the boiler water, or the brine for dust control or something. Over 300 people have looked at this and you and misfire are the only ones to comment.
