You never here much out of Quebec, here’s some info on their many early railways....https://s3.amazonaws.com/content.sit...279d383b446429. Canada’s earliest steam history began in Montreal in the 1820’s....https://www.thecanadianencyclopedia....ailway-feature

Your first https has an error code - access denied, request expired. Interesting info on the second!

Most interesting, maybe shut down by the Quebec secret service? Like I was saying, not much comes out of Quebec....

I remember the Thurso & Nation Valley Railway which ran from the north shore of the Ottawa River north into the bush between Ottawa and Montreal. It was quite the operation right to the end.
There was a kind man named Lafleur down there. He was quite elderly and I knew him only as Monsieur Lafleur - it was customary to use complete respect and courtesy with elderly people back then. He had worked for the T&NV all his life. He was a wonderful man. I think he was an uncle of Guy, the star hockey player. The name Lafleur was as common as Smith around Thurso, and I think a lot of the Lafleurs worked for the T&NV!

The modern, isolated Quebec railways are quite interesting as well, and can be followed on Google Earth.

Among them are the Quebec North Shore and Labrador Railway and the Cartier Railway.
