Default Stover DV-1C info wanted

I have an air-cooled Stover model DV-1C and am looking for any information on it. I have seen info on DV-2's which are water cooled, mine does not look at all like those. Was this engine actually built by Stover, or was it built by Lauson or Nelson Brothers like some of the other air-cooled engines Stover sold? If it is not Stover-built, who did build it & what model of theirs is it similar to? Any info is appreciated.

Your engine actually was built by Stover. I tossed a few of mine on a shop cart a few years back and took a few pictures. The one on the far right has an extra deep crankcase pan and the pumpjack is built right into it.

Thanks! Mine has a deep crank case on the PTO side with a big gear that dips down into it. Are the gas tanks on yours correct? Do you know of any literature for them? What is the significance of the "C" in DV-1C?

Question Re: Stover DV-1C info wanted

Still looking for information on the Stover DV-1 air cooled engine. I bought a pamphlet from Hit and Miss but it only covered the water-cooled model. Need correct plug #, points setting, timing info. Also, how common are these? The BYB says few were made & I have never seen one in real life, yet you have at least 4.

Thanks!
