Talking slowing down a galloway 2 1/4 hp

I am looking for lighter govenor springs to slow down my new toy a later model galloway 2 1/4 hp . this engine has a webster tri-polar magneto do I need to change any of the other spring to do this? this is my first magneto engine. also what book would be the best on the webster tri-polar magneto . THANK YOU

I have a later model 2 1/4 hp galloway. I took both springs off the governer and adjusted the knob with the spring behind it out untill it ran slower. Or you could try it with one governer spring off it too.

Running with 1 spring should be fine. That's what I run mine with.
