Default Whately Engine Museum Show 2013 Video Gas and Steam Engines

Once again, a great show was put on at the Upham's place in Whately, MA.
There were interesting antique engines and equipment of all sorts.
The food was great and the company even better.

Here is a video I put together.
I uploaded over 6 GB so if you have a high speed connection I recommend selecting 720p or 1080p hi def and full screen.

The video is about 41 minutes so grab a snack and something to drink and enjoy!

There are alot of NICE engines there. Just to name a few in the bottom picture from Nate's picture.
From left to right:

16 h.p. New Era
30 h.p Lambert ( largest one know to exist )
10 h.p. Springfield
20 h.p. White & Middleton ( special electric )
15 h.p. F & M ( special electric )
15 h.p. OTTO ( special electric )

Too many engines there to mention and pick out a favorite. Outside the main shed was a "HUGE OLIN" ( I believe, correct me if I'm wrong ) owned by C Staples ? It ran all day and breathed between firing like it had bad asthma. ( See Gil's video ) And one of my personal favorites a 5 h.p. Abenaque owned by Steve U. It ran flawlessly the 2 days I was there. And Tom C. 8 h.p. Abenaque with 4 cooling trays and dual ignition.

My family and I would like to extend a great big thank you to everyone who helped contribute to make this show such a success.

Thanks to Gil for capturing a portion of what goes on here. That is great viewing on a rainy or cold winter's evening.

Nate, those panoramic pictures are fantastic, I didnt realize we had that much space.

Again thanks to all and hope to see you next year.

The Upham Family

Yes, The Whately Engine Museum Show

will be September 20th and 21rst in 2014.

The food is great and and the exhibitors bring pots and trays, and dishes of great home cooking to serve at lunch time.

Needless to say the hardware on display is amazing.

There is a Ohio in the video at about 14 minutes with a copper cooling tank. Anybody have pictures of this engine?

Thanks
James
