Default Austin - Manitoba Threshermen's Reunion

The Austin show is on right now. It is one of the great North American shows.
There will be two reconditioned engines making their debuts - a 75 Case and a 25 DS Gaar-Scott. Maybe more?
Well worth the visit.

This is a real big and good show of a lot of old farming ways of the older days. I was at this show in 2010 the year of the plowing demastration of the 66 bottom plow and the 5 big Rumley`s pulling it. I can be seen in one of the videos. Also met the man that built the Allis Chalmers Museum in Portage la Prairie, Also went to see it. The man was Gilbert Vust, He passed on 2 years back ,but was a good friend to me for some years. Roger Weinhold AKA Big Charlie: salute:

It was another great year! And yes, lots of pretty steamers this year! Wish I had a good pic of Darwin's Case 75 too, but can't find one.

Lots of friendly, smiling faces and late night visiting. There's a continuing growth in camaraderie in our steam family at the show - a few rotten eggs (and their impact) who no longer come are all but forgotten. More engines, better engines, everybody helping each other, only getting better.
