Default Carlisle Finch Carburetor help

Just bought a Carlisle Finch 1/4 hp engine this weekend that had a replacement carb that appears to be a chainsaw carb.

I can engine to run routinely but only for 1/2 minute and wonder if the replacement carb is the problem.

Any know what was the original carburator was and what can be the best replacement?

Any for sale?

Thanks Al

The carburetor thread to the block is 3/4 pipe thread. Can I assume a lunkenheimer with a 3/4 pipe thead might work?

Typically these are tapped with a 1/2" NPT port. A 3/4" mixer is plenty big for that size engine, but you may be able to make it go.
