Default Briggs 5S Crank Bushing..?

Hi guys, I'm new to the site and I've run into a problem while tearing down my 1950 5s for restoration. When I removed the crank out, I somehow destroyed the PTO side bushing. I used some light pressure with a hammer, but I wasn't really pounding on it. It's all chewed up and I can't even get the crank back in it. Are these things reproduced at all, are am I just out of luck? Oh yeah, this is my first engine restoration

Part Number is 89667. I do not know if still available. It could be made if you know someone with a lathe. It needs to be reamed in place once installed.

Check your crank for rust, galling, wear, near the bearing. Even very small burrs can ruin the bearing, Look especially where the oil seal rides - sometimes oil seepage attracts dirt and debris, which then will tear up the bearing when you remove the crank! If it is crudded up, ckean with a jewelers file and some 300 or fined emory paper. oil the crank well when re-installing. Also be careful of the timer plunger! Remove it before re-installing the crank!

Talking Re: Briggs 5s Crank Bushing..?

I am in the process of restoring my 57 5s as well. luckily the inside looks almost new and will need very little work. I will need a new oil seal though since I noticed some oil behind the points plate, and the governor arm is bent up. anyone have these? I would be interested in purchasing.
