Default Madison Kipp OL lubricator

Hi All,

I've a NOS Madison Kipp OL lubricator that I would like to see about installing a ratcheting mechanism on. It does not have any type of actuating means so I'd like to see what I can pull off. It will probably eventually go on the market unless someone is interested in it as is.

The shaft has a woodruff keyway in it so I could use that as an option. However I have no way of securing the ratcheting motion to the shaft... I am considering using pointed setscrews, torqued down on the shaft, but I'm also considering drilling the shaft, which I believe is hardened. If I can drill the shaft, I can at least drill and tap it to accept a bolt to hold it in place.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike Walsh
