It’s alive changed points condenser coil plug still would not fire my very good sled racing friend who has been helping me sat and pondered And was reading over service Manuel ! I had given up but he never gives up he said that little fiber washer you found on floor the other day what did you do with it I think it goes under screw that mounts points so they don’t ground out ! Yup it was missing put the fiber washer on and it runs !

Cool! Glad you got it running!

Can post photos here, but not video. Most people upload video to YouTube, then post the link here. Works great for me, and I am definitely NOT tech savvy!

Lots of car alternators have rubber boots on the back of them just for covering this style of electrical connections. Any auto parts store should have them.

Oh, I don't know... Just don't touch 'em?

If you wanted to make it a more permanent installation, I'd mount it in a nice box.

Well the alternator boot suggestion didn’t work parts store didn’t have what I needed ! Went to municipal electric where I worked for 23 years tech didn’t have anything either but suggested seeing it’s 110 volts ac and will kill you as we all know he suggested wire nuts and liquid tape it’s finished air cleaner not as straight as I would like but that’s the way it fits after tightened !not restored just rejuvenated !thanks everyone again and for who ever gave me hell and said put the Damed Taiwan coil on I did and it’s ok !!!! Installed my dads vintage voltage meter he’s passed and was an electrical engineer and master electrician that makes it special !

Does the tank cap have a good gasket? Hold a blow gun nozzle up to the vent hole and give it a shot. Donít give it too much or you could blow a seam or end out.
