Did you ever determine the fate of this engine?

Search is on the way for current owner of this engine!

Actual photo post card of Banting Greyhound steam traction engine. The early rear wheel style identify it be pre 1920. It has rear wheel cast road cleats. Photo look to be taken prior to 1920. The men poses for photo with two pit bull dogs! A boy standing in front of water tank. Name or location is unknown. I received this photo from Delta Ohio. This photo will be taken for restoration.

Would that be a factory cab on that engine?

I don't know if it be factory or good skilled carpentry in shop. I have another photo but it is not the same engine cause it has wood assembled in vertical and horizontal. Early and late style rear wheels tell the difference. I clearly see better with my original than this. Also third photo I was 10 minute late bid on eBay. That picture has a cab with thresher and barn behind it. The author of Steam encyclopedia got it.

Found it! It is fascinating history newspaper clipping connecting to my Greyhound engine. Newspaper clip came from Decatur Indiana newspaper Sept 28, 1921. Former owners were Harold Gay and John Brite of Decatur Indiana bought the 24 hp Greyhound engine at the auction in 1950. The closest is where Ed Ullman only threshed in that area many years. Available more information can be found in my group FaceBook website " Banting-Greyhound Farm Machinery History"
