Default Where did this engine end up?

I sold this engine back in 2006, and I know it was sold a couple times since, and have lost track of it. Last I knew, it was in the Colonies some place.

Just wondering where it is now.

Pete

That's sure a cute little engine Pete, but I haven't seen it go past here. Gary

Looks like the only known surviving Labelle Westinghouse model 00.

Pete this looks very simular to a unit that showed up at the Maryland Steam Historical Society show in Upperco MD. several years ago. I am fairly certain it came from up your way. I have not seen it since, but I did see the owners and quized them on its whereabouts. They still have it but have gotten busy with other things and thus have not taken it to shows. I do not recall their names.

Hi Jerry -

Maryland is the last place that I heard it had moved to.

It is a home built engine that I built 22-23 years ago with various old parts. Manure spreader wheels, laundry mat boiler, garden tractor clutch, fish-tug engine, milling machine handwheel for the steering wheel, door knob for clutch handle. Fun project to build and run, but "had" to upgrade to a real steamer 15 years ago. Tried to make it look old, without spending a lot of money.

Oh, and it is known as LaBelle Engine Works #1. So says the plaque on the front of the frame.

Pete

Pete
But was it sold with an owner's manual?!

Neat creation, Pete; nice job getting everything to come together so clean!

This brings to mind the question of. How much, I regret selling my engine.? Might be a thread in itself. I would think its a routine question one asks himself / herself.
Shane.

Hi Pete. I did not see the guys that I think have it at the local show this year. I'll keep an eye out for it.
