Question Lunkenheimer Alpha #6 rebuild

I have a Lunkenheimer Alpha #6 pump oiler that I would like to do some repairs on. It now has a steel tube on it, I assume because the glass was broken. I have a new glass tube to be installed. How do I disassemble this oiler? I sure don't want to damage it!
Also, this oiler has the nickel(?) plating, which has peeled in spots. Is replating it a good option?
Does anyone have literature showing this oiler?
Thanks!
Merry Christmas to all..
