Default Nelson 1 1/2hp little Jumbo Mixer

I have just scored this Little Jumbo. Am told it is a Type P. It has a few parts missing. Please see attached photo. It has the air inlet control tube into the head, but no needle valve. I see there is a 1/2" hole just above the air tube entry. Is this where I install some kind of needle valve assembly. I have lathe and mill so can manufacture something but any thoughts or pictures of what I need would be great
