Default Sandwich Color

I have a 3hp Sandwich that is ready to paint. What is the correct color of these engines?

The code that has been tossed around for years is Martin Senour #111. I do not know how well that crosses to modern paints or other brands.

Matt, Dave T., or Shawn R. may have come to a better match over the years. I hope one of them sees this and has more information.

Here are two threads that the topic has been discussed in the past:

Don't forget to check out our new and improving website and to send us your serial number for the registry of the existing engines.

Here is the paint and code I used on my model , and the link to my 1/5 scale model on trucks.

I went through the model drawings and found a Dupont code 24166O(or D) Brewster Green listed .

Brewster Green was the paint as it says in the original books.Of course that paint has changed over the years .I also think that the original Sandwich paint also changed over the years of production. The Martin Senour was a good match.I think the old Mack Brewster green is also a good old school match .Just don't use Wendells Book on the Sandwich engine color not a good match .
