Default c1918 Reo Speed Wagon Chassis Number

Hi, I looked at a Reo the other day that has the chassis number 102229 stamped on the top left rail, adjacent to the engine. Does anyone know how to accurately date the truck from this? The bloke said it was a 1918 truck but I would like to know for sure. I have asked the Reo club but they couldn't help. I hoped there might be a factory list of chassis numbers and the years built.
Thanks for any help.

Here is a link to a Branham's book that lists serial numbers. REO is on page 289. None of the serial numbers have 6 digits. Maybe they added some numbers on export chasses, or maybe you are looking at a part number? Steve

That’s a really cool book! I’ve never heard of it, before.
Thanks!
