Tim I've been thinking about your question and I don't really know yet. I'm for sure taking it to the Symco show in Wisconsin www.symcoutc.com and hopefully to Baraboo. Other than that I'm just not sure.

FYI - If you have never been to the Symco show you should. It's their 50th year and should be a great time! The show itself is really great but the night life reminds me of my fraternity days in college! Yes, it can be that insane!

They are featuring Wisconsin built tractors and engines so we are going to bring the Lauson, Eagle and Happy Farmer and probably the 8, 9 and 12 hp Sta-Rites.

It was pick-up day! My father, Marshal, and his long time engine buddy headed down to Illionis to get the radiator. When I got home from work we put it on just to get an idea how thing will line up. It looks good. Now we can start fitting the sheet metal hoods and lining things up for the hood latches. After everything is set we will take it apart and send it to my cousin's body shop for painting. Took a couple of pictures for you to give an idea of how things look.

I would be working on it now but I'm boiling maple sap instead.

Been a long time since I updated so I suppose a couple of posts and pictures are in order. Got the muffler done - that was fun ... Here is the story: off the manifold there is a vertical tube that acts both as the air intake and the exhaust (I would love to see what the pattern and core box looked like to make it). Theoretically, this ports into the muffler elbow. Well ours was off-center by about an inch AND was about three inches too short to fit into the elbow. Upon inspection of a local 15-25, 1917 Lauson, it was setup that way too. This original setup meant the muffler did nothing right from the factory. All I can figure is it was a design flaw that was not important enough to fix during the years of the Great War. So we fixed it - made mounting brackets to account for it being off-center and then welded an extension into the vertical pipe. Now it fits like it should have.

Got some other things finished on it too. Here are some quick pictures.

The radiator and hood sides are at my cousin's autobody body shop getting painted. We have scheduled a startup party for June 17th. We are starting at 8 AM. PM me if you want to come over

Seems to me that I watched a feller working on that exhaust manifold so I should probably come over for start up. Travel time = 7 minutes.

Well today is the big day. Hopefully it will run, but I make no guarantees! I got the radiator yesterday. The hood panels are not painted yet and I put the borrowed canopy on for fun.

It does run! We tried starting it by hand and got some fire but decided to belt it up. Got my Hart-Parr around and that got it going. Drove it down the driveway and back. Not running smoothly though, we need to look into the carb but it was really a fun day. I am blessed to have so many amazing friends come over and help thank you all so much!
