Default Letz Burr Mill Value

I met with this guy after seeing he had a Letz burr mill for sale. He's asking $300 for it. It's well rusted except one side. There is an entire thread about how they are worth around $15. The guy took it as insult when i sent him a link to the thread and offered him $20. Just moving it would be a process. He bought it at Coolspring and planned to restore it but never did. Was $20 to generous?

Just got one with an infeed auger, outfeed elevator, little chute for additions, on a frame with rubber tires. $150 delivered. Much of the paint is still there, little animals and stuff.

In Iowa, I bought a Letz model 80 with an elevator for $50. In NC, it would sell for about $150-200 now, mostly because of the elevator. Grinders are fairly common in PA but I would still think that $75 would be a fair value and not insulting to the guy. If he wants crazy money like $500, then best to move on.

He wants $300. It needs a lot of work such as sandblasting and bolt replacement. It also has a chip in the pulley. Not the best condition. It will also be a hassle just to move it.

This one has one side of faded original paint. I'd have to pick it up.
