Default what is it?

I was just wondering if anyone could identify this? It's made of brass and has a patent date of July 14 " 85 " on it. It's made of brass.

Looks like a Draw Knife Chamfer Guide. They came in pairs and clamped to the blade to work sort of like a depth stop. Item 162099815119 on eBay shows an identical pair.
