Default Long Model A

Just got this home this weekend, did have it running today. Serial 4912346. Grill is in bad shape but fixable, hood is decent, tractor needs paint. Has hydraulics, rear wheels are not correct.

Late date 12 month 1949. Was a fellow in mid US that I talked to and has many serial numbers recorded. Never wrote down his #.

Maybe 40-50. Majority are narrow front.

Can I get a closeup of battery box. Suspect same as Cockshutt. Both mine were missing.

No battery box, this tractor had a metal battery hold down with 2 rods that hooked on to the tractor and had thumb screws. Looked factory. I will try to get some pictures for you

Like has a plate mounted to tranny housing. Would have a frame around battery and two eye bolts to anchor.

Lots of possibility with your find, I live in Wisconsin and have a Model A also. Any idea where to look for the serial number?
