Default Hercules JXC / JXLD

Hello.

I have HEI distributor taken apart and a original distributor from delco remy and fixed them to each other and now the HEI is in a hercules engine.
Never had a engine before that runs that nice.

The best is that i can turn the distributor much more then the delco, because then it hits the waterpump.

But what ik would like to now if anybody knows the timing degrees for those engine's.

Now i also have a vacuum canister, so can go for carb or manifold vacuum or not at all.

Kind Reegards

Ruud

Listen to the idle with the ori distributor, did run this, because i whanted to know the timing, so i could look if the hei had the same and it did.

And now idle with the hei.

Also vacuum is nice and steady, never had that also before.

Did my best on the englisch, but stil a dutch guy he

old motor book says DC 1-6 , mark on flywheel . both are same. all advance would come from inside hei and set timing with line unhooked . then hook up vacuum line after timing is set.
