Default International Harvester Cultivator?

just picked this up for 25.oo going thru it. it has 7 sweeps, adjustable, not sure what IH tractor this was intended for, (small tractor) single point, built 40s or 50s. going to use 4 sweeps (shown in pic) to pull behind my bolens walk behind tractor. cleaned up real nice, just needs paint, any infro would help...

i agree, horse drawn. the cub was a fairly small tractor and that looks small even for it.

yep that crossed my mind, no transport wheels on it and not set up for lifting......unless it was made for a walk behind garden tractor.....

the ones i have seen have 2 wood handles like a plow. we always called them a joe harrow. don't know if that is the correct name or not.

It crosses my mind that this cultivator and the plow you posted about were set up for the same power source?

fwurth, funny you should say that, got the plow and cultivator out of the same junk yard, but different brand names, same hitch systems, the plow is not powered by horse, no handles and the style is still made today for garden tractors by the same Co. the cultivator could go ether way..p.s painted it IH red today looks nice...
