Default Ford 841 Diesel Tractor, 1959 / Clutch

Greetings,
The clutch will not allow me to engage the transmision with the engine running. Did the clutch fork break?
How do I fix it?
Thank you.

Clutch disc is probably stuck to the flywheel. its pretty common in those tractors. if your really lucky you can block the clutch down and put it in gear and rock the tractor back and forth. if that doesn't work then you move on to more drastic measures like starting it up and plowing with it while holding the clutch down.

Once you get it freed up it will tend to stick again. keep the peddle blocked down when not using it will help.

When you step on the clutch pedal, does it feel like it is pushing the throw out bearing against the clutch or is it easy most of the way. Does it feel like it should?

We had one that was stuck on a earlier Jubilee. I took the starter off and managed to reach in and slip a small putty knife in and pry the disc loose while the pedal was blocked down. There was a gap between the pressure plate and flywheel where the edge of the disc was exposed.

.
If you do it that way, wear your football helmet with a mouth guard...or you WILL bite the steering wheel when it breaks loose. They don't coast very far with the plow in the ground...
