Default Milton Steam Show Moves

While over on another site, I read that the Milton SteamShow is moving. The park where they hosted it since 2014, went from $5,000 for the weekend to $25,000. Maybe someone from there will click in.

Sounds like a good example of greed. What’s interesting is there’s long time Steam Era members on the board of the place that raised the rent and drove them out. Their lucky the Hume family could offer their farm this year at least.

Interesting, so the $25,000 increase was over 5 years. What were they paying originally for the use of the property?

I liked it a whole lot better when Steam Era was at Milton Fairgrounds. Did not like it at the former Ag Museum. One big problem there was hour-long lineups to get a drink of water, and some of the museum's washroom facilities were absolutely awful the last time I was there. The porta-potties were OK, the proper washrooms were not.

It's great that the Hume family is able to support the show this year.

May they have the best old fashioned steam show they ever had.
If it’s the last one , make it memorable.
