Default Challenge flattop 5 hp no. 10659

Had this shipped in before Labor Day, and got it uncrated last Sunday and tore apart today. It has been in a building all of its life I was told in New Hampshire, was bought used and ran a woodshop before and inside then when new. https://youtu.be/WINDdb5iwTQ Got to get the weird wrist pin bushing reworked, babbit in rod to take up slack and the the mains. https://youtu.be/sLbtyy5XZyE lucked out the carbon peice in Wizard mag was missing , borrowed one from a 11/2 hp. https://youtu.be/PTpWXNVTbH8 now I have a nice fat blue spark. Got the rusted off peice of exhaust pipe out easy, valve didn't fair as good that is going to Chris Klossner Monday afternoon ,a Jim White modified cart is going under the original skids next week after a kerosene bath. This should be a sweet runner when going tank is in the base, some pin strips are visable under all the caked on grease and quite a bit of original paint to!!

Gave this old dude a good kerosene and gojo nonpumice bath a couple weeks ago, then had some medical stuff happen in my knees , sounded like a rifle went off in the house last night, and pain finally quit. Got it on a set of Jim White modified cart wheels ,and used some angle to set the original skids on to try and save them. Still a lot of things I have to do yet, a belt box is going on the back, https://youtu.be/wMvk3GNjHFU After piston rod and head get back it will take a trip to get mains repoured, dont plan on using gas tank until the mains are repoured, ,explosion risk would be to great with the cast iron tank in the base. Letting the WD 40 soak in good for a little more cleaning.
