Default Alpha DeLaval Help

was wtrying to get my alpha delaval to fire
just got earlier this year ground the valves hone the cylender
got it all cleaned up so hooked up a gas line with check valve check the igniter ok
spun it around seems gas leaking out this cross hole in the carb and not getting to the cylender
i wouldnt think this to be open like this on the carb?? but whats it for all my other carbs are different

I hoping someone with a frost king alpha delaval could shed some light on the hole in this carb?? or what it there for

I can't tell from that close up photo, but it sorta' looks like a natural gas mixer. Does it also have a gasoline line and a needle valve?...post a photo that shows the entire front of the engine.

the brass tube that going in the bottom is my gas line the fitting on the 45* is the needle adjustment

i dont know the needle valve was gummed up with gas or i thought but wouldnt the NG leak out like the like it doese reg gas
i wont get to the shop until this weekend but i get a pic
I never seen NG carb for a hit miss

hope this pic is better wonder if my make shift tank is to high
I was thinking maybe my tank was not low enouf that this could coz the drainage
