Just my 2 cents worth.

I bought a Maytag 92 not from any of these gentlmen in this dicussion. From Texas described as fully restored on custom skid, in "running condition" It was clean but not painted, the skid was 2 pieces of 2X4 . Couldn't see much detail in Picture (My Mistake) It's been 4 month's and a lot of money and the engine still doesn't run.

I bought a barn find Maytag 72, also on e-bay "good Compression and spark. Cleaned and sealed gas tank, Cleaned engine 2 new spark plugs and it runs great and will run for days.

My point is what some people call restored is way different that what other guys call restored. You get what you pay for I guess.

Only if you are lucky you get what you pay for. With Ebay its getting to be such a game of Russian Roulette. As BigJoe points out its the fellows idea of the definition of the terminology they use that causes the issue. Way too many people use the term RESTORED Way too loosely. OR properly rated or just like original. I aquired from a vender a condenser that they claim in their eBay add to be the proper rating for a Maytag and Lo and behold not much to my surprise when I test it the MFD rating is NOT what its supposed to be. God only knows if the voltage is what its supposed to be. I highly doubt it is. I will try tracking the manufacturer down to get the spec sheet on it.
