I was just wondering and bumping at the same time on this thread. How many others are planning on going to the show? All Maytags are great, common or rare.

I wish I could get there but I can't, it's more miles than I can travel.

Hopefully many people will take pictures and post them.

Marc , we would love to have you there.
All maytags and maytag related items are welcome...we want to get as many and as much as we can.
I know I will be taking as many pics as I can to share with all you Stakers.
We will also be raffling off a restored model 92 engine ($1 chance) with half proceeds going to Antique Acres and the other half going to the Maytag Collectors Club!
How many can we get!!

Dave, I would really like to be there in Iowa, I know I'll be missing out on seeing some fantastic gems and fantastic people. Because of job and miles I can't be there though. It's good to see a few shows featuring Maytag, but I wish there were some closer to me.
I am not able to add pics, but would have taken a fruitjar, 1hp Elgin, 1hp stoveleg, 1 hp aluminum tank, G carb, C carb, D carb, many variations of E carbs. 9 and 11 fin 82's, 11 fin short tank 82, long frame twin and a twin cutaway. Many oil containers and some paper documents since there would be shade.
Hey Tom S, throw a couple engines in for me to show there. I'll definately be there in spirit. To all be safe and have fun.

I plan on going Saturday to the big show. Need to pick up Maytag 92 block number 1 fitted to a new crankshaft from Robert Blin of Bob's Small Engine Repair. Also , this will be my FIRST event I've been to for old engines. I'm a newbie. Looking forward to taking it all in!!!

My son, brother-in-law and I just dropped off 130 maytags so far. I think theres another 50 to go (my back is killing me!).So we should have about 180 in our booth alone...Never had them out altogether and couldn't wait until we had them all unloaded to share a pic.
Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend!

I quess one would have to see it, but cant really imagine anyone wanting 180 Maytags on purpose. They surely dont all run?

Hopefully my spot at the show will be safely away from all that smoke, lol. The countdown has begun. Only two more days.

If even a quarter of them are ran at any time there won't be a mosquito with in a mile of the place. So who's for bug control???

That is so true, as last yr there was one just across the road from us. During the day when he had it going there was never a bug problem, but after 5 when he shut down the place started crawling. And it was only one Maytag!!

Dave,

As far as I am concerned you have one of the rarest MAYTAG displays ever assembled. 180 MAYTAGS............

How AWSOME!! In my opinion you have a very rare display, who else has 180 MAYTAGS?

Thank you for your dedication to Maytag, and to all others that are going to show there and to all MAYTAG collectors overall.

I still wish I could be there.

Marc,

I wish you could be there too.

You own a fruitjar, 1hp Elgin, 1hp stoveleg, 1 hp aluminum tank, G carb, C carb, D carb, many variations of E carbs. 9 and 11 fin 82's, 11 fin short tank 82, long frame twin and a twin cutaway. Many oil containers and some paper documents .....Thats an amazing collection itself.

I'm not sure I've ever seen half of those models in person, just in pics.

Maybe you could share your collection here on Smokstak.

We'll keep you posted on what we see here at Antique Acres this weekend.

Dave
