Hello all. I'm traveling to Rough and Tumble again this year. After some other site seeing around 8/21 I will be heading to Maryland to visit friends. I was wondering if there is any steam, gas engine, machine shop or other must see sites in that state. I've seen names like Tuckahoe Steam & gas, Eastern Shore Threshermen's, Mason Dixon Historical and Maryland Steam Historical Society. Any others?
Obviously shows are date sensitive but maybe some are museum style settings. What would be the best to take in with limited time? Thank you. |

Go to the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal Museum in Chesapeake City MD. There are two walking beam steam engines there on their original foundations and they were built in the 1850's so it is worth the trip.
